What we disclose
HypnoNews runs no display advertising and no third-party ad networks, and nobody can pay to appear in — or to change — our editorial coverage: reviews, ratings, and comparisons are independent.
We may run clearly-labeled advertising for our own products. Where we publish a paid placement (advertorial) for a product we share ownership with, it is always labeled as advertising, carries an advertiser disclosure, and is kept separate from — and never presented as — our independent editorial coverage. The named ownership relationship and the operating company are set out on our Terms of Use.
We do use affiliate links in some of our book reviews. When a review links to a book retailer with a “Check price” link, we may earn a small commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you. These are the only commercial links on the site, and we hold them to our editorial firewall:
- Commissions never influence our verdicts or evidence grades. We cover books we think are worth your attention, and we publish critical assessments of books we don’t — affiliate link or not.
- Every affiliate link is disclosed at the point of use, and the review carries an affiliate-disclosure note. Any “find it at a library” link we provide is never an affiliate link.
- This sits within our wider editorial guidelines, including how we review books.
Any affiliate or sponsored content is disclosed the same way — clearly labeled, at the point of use.
